Vince Curry, Adjunct Firearms Instructor
Vince Curry started Shooting in his teens..
Vincent Curry began his firearms journey at the age of 18 and went on to build a distinguished 27-year career in law enforcement, specializing in tactical operations, firearms instruction, and criminal investigations.
He served four years in the United States Marine Corps as a Non-Commissioned Officer before entering civilian law enforcement, where he served as a Trooper First Class with the Maryland State Police, a Special Agent with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and later as a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
During his tenure with ATF, Vince held several key leadership positions including Firearms Instructor Coordinator, Division Tactical Advisor, Special Response Team Operator, and Supervisory Special Agent—roles that required expert-level firearms knowledge, instructor development, and advanced tactical planning for high-risk operations.
As an instructor and advisor, Vince’s coaching disciplines include marksmanship, patrol and shoot-house training, armorer-level firearms maintenance, and qualification improvement for law enforcement and military personnel. He is dedicated to preparing shooters for high-stress operational performance and continues to volunteer as a Range Safety Officer and mentor within the firearms community.

Throughout his career, Vince has remained committed to professional excellence and continuous development. He has extensive experience instructing law enforcement officers, security professionals, and civilian shooters, while also remaining active in competitive shooting.

• Federal Firearms Instructor School (FLETC)
• Glock Armorer’s Course for Law Enforcement
• Glock International Law Enforcement & Military Armorer Training
• Colt Defense M16/AR-15 Rifle Course
• State of Florida Shoot House Instructor

Carter Mayzik
Carter Mayzik started Shooting in his teens..
During Desert Storm, Carter served as an Armorer in the U.S. Marines. Carter spent 10 years as an Armed Security Officer and eventually a Private Investigator. Carter also has experience in Fitness and Training. Carter continued to shoot and improve his skills. He volunteers as a WAC RO at the Wyoming Antelope Club.
Carter began with NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer training. He is currently certified in:
- Certified Pistol Instructor (NRA)
- Chief Range Safety Officer (NRA)
- CCW Instructor (NRA)
- Personal Protection Inside the Home Instructor (NRA)
- Certified Pistol Coach (L1, NRA Sports, CMP, USA Shooting):
