Yelp 9/2/20…This was the second CCW course that I took within a week. The first course 4 hrs. including range time (yes, I received my certification) left me even more puzzled, too many unanswered questions. I took Geoff’s 8.5-hour classroom course plus range time, and I now feel educated, extremely confident with my firearm and most importantly Geoff stresses the newfound RESPONSIBILITY required to possess a CCW. I will be taking the next level of Geoff’s firearm training. Awesome instructor, no need to search for a CCW instructor, you’ve found him

Facebook… I went here not knowing or having any experience at all. I was also unsure if this was a good place to start. Let me tell you, I was very happy with them. Geoff is a fantastic teacher and guide. He understands each individual’s concerns. He can answer any question. For any future classes I will be using them, and I know the other students I was with are also scheduling more classes with them. I am sure there are other good teachers out there, and there are other shorter, cheaper, classes, but you will never get the same training and education in them as you will with this one. After my experience here, I have no need to look further. If you are new to guns, a woman, man, old or young, this is the place you start. They are honest, upfront, and very candid and caring about any concerns you may have. I was nervous about doing this. They eliminated my nerves and gave me so much more confidence. Even if you never get a gun or attend another class, the experience and education alone is worth the time and money, especially with all the extra reading materials given out. With everything going on in the world today and all the uncertainty I believe everyone should attend something like this. You owe it to yourself.

Google… Fantastic CCW course! Very thorough and Geoff is a very patient and skilled teacher. I left the basic CCW class a better marksman, a safer firearm carrier, and with a peaked interest in continuing pistol training. I highly recommend Geoff for CCW permits and firearms training!! I’ll be signing up for future classes also!

Google… This class was everything that I was hoping for. I am a novice gun person who recently purchased my first firearm. I took a CCW course one week prior to taking Geoff’s course. I got my CCW certification but had more questions than when I started. A complete dog and pony show. Geoff’s course was detailed, comprehensive and most importantly gave me the confidence to use my firearm and to carry. However, the single point that resonated during the course was the newfound responsibility that one possesses with a CCW. The magnitude of our decision making could change our lives forever. Google… I have taken 2 classes from Geoff Davis and have found his instruction to be first rate! Friendly atmosphere in his classroom. He works with each student to help them become knowledgeable and proficient in the use, care, and understanding of their firearms. Mr. Davis puts his knowledge and experience into his presentations. Explanations of Florida law, ethics of self-defense, operation of firearms, grip, stance, awareness of possible threats, etc. If you’re looking for a CCW class, do yourself a favor and sign up for the 9- or 10-hour course as opposed the 3- or 4-hour courses offered by other outfits. You’ll be much more comfortable and prepared. Great job guys. Thanks again for everything!

Geoff teaches you the importance of safety first and the importance of avoiding a confrontation if possible. Geoff’s background is extensive, and it’s doing his courses as opposed to other providers in the area just for his stories. His passion for teaching firearms is evident.

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting

Yelp… For the first time to handle a pistol – to leaving with range time and targets completed in a day – I would have to say the instruction and experience was fantastic! Geoff was an excellent instructor – patient, extremely knowledgeable and very encouraging. Thank you! Highly recommended.

Google… Can’t say enough about GunSafety4U and Geoff! I took Geoff’s Pistol Safety course, and this guy knows his stuff. By time you leave you’ll feel comfortable that you can safely and effectively use your handgun. Great course materials, real life insights, and lots of hands-on opportunity to learn about different types of pistols. Time on the range continued the learning experience and allowed enough time to get comfortable with the safety and firing techniques learned in the classroom. You get a FULL DAY course, unlike some other courses. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else! P.S. That’s my 79-year-old mother in the photo. She loved the course!

Google… I took his Basic Pistol class, and it was very informative and entertaining as well. I highly recommend his classes I’ll definitely be taking more of his classes myself in the near future.

Google… Geoff is an excellent instructor and I highly recommend him for anyone (beginner or expert)! He has so much experience and knowledge that anyone can learn something new from him. He’s extremely patient and you never feel dumb for any question. I am not a beginner and yet, I have learned more from his classes than I did with various other courses I’ve attended. NRA Defensive Pistol Course (Advanced)

Google… I completed the NRA Defensive Pistol course with Instructor G. Davis this past week. Instruction was excellent, interesting, and very helpful. The coursework and range practice/performance tests were fun, informative, and safely conducted. I would point out that I am a novice and was comfortable with the lesson. Highly recommend.

Google… I’m a retired veteran and NRA instructor and I was looking for a knowledgeable and experienced instructor that I could glean from. After speaking with Geoff on the phone a couple of times and learning more about him, I attended his NRA Defensive Pistol course. Geoff has a wealth of knowledge and experience from working globally for many years in the law enforcement field and he is glad to share it. He used many personal, real-world experiences in his training that applied directly to the course. He is patient and friendly, making sure that each student has the skills and principles down before moving forward. I completed his course with much more confidence in my own skills and added wisdom and knowledge that will make me a better instructor. Geoff is a dedicated trainer that enjoys teaching, making it easy to learn. He is an excellent instructor that I strongly recommend. I will definitely be attending future classes with him.

NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting

Google… I am a firearms instructor and needed to take a class in pursuit of another certification as an instructor. Based on speaking with Geoff over the phone, I decided to sign up for his class. Geoff is a bank of knowledge on any discipline…

Google… Geoff is a clearly passionate expert who is able to teach through experience, the quality of his training cannot be understated. As a novice gun owner who recently purchased my first firearm, he was able to simplify concepts and tie the educational portion of the curriculum to real world experiences. The course covered all aspects of maintenance, safety, and all requisite skills. Geoff will give you the knowledge to confidently use your firearm and seems to truly enjoy teaching. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for firearm training in the area.

NRA Women on Target Instructional Clinic

Google… Recently took the Women on Target course with Geoffrey Davis. Very informative, hands on, all questions answered, no pressure course. I highly recommend this course for women new to gun ownership or considering gun ownership.

NRA First Steps of Shotgun Shooting

Google… I am an NRA and USCCA certified instructor and was looking for an Introduction to Shotgun class, after speaking to Geoffrey on the phone I was very confident I found the right instructor. I took the “Introduction to Shotgun” class last evening and it was fantastic Geoff made sure we understood all the key concepts but, also included topics from his many years of experience, expertise which you cannot get from any textbooks. Highly recommend This course and Geoffrey Davis.

NRA Range Safety Officer

Google… I am an NRA certified instructor and have taken many advanced firearms training classes from various providers and instructors. I know the difference between a good instructor and a poor one… I did not know Geoffrey before taking his RSO class (instructors cannot certify themselves) and I found him to be knowledgeable, articulate, and able to maintain a lively atmosphere… If you take his class, you will not be disappointed.

Google… Can’t say much more than awesome instructor. I took the RSO course with them and Geoff really shows what teaching should be. The course is clear, the instruction is perfect mix of real-world experience and book. You can tell just by spending few mins that he truly cares for teaching and spreading his love and knowledge of firearms. Will be returning for more courses in the future for sure.

Google… I took the Range Safety Officer course more for personal than professional reasons. The group was small, 4 students, which allowed very clear inter-action with Geoff, our instructor. No question went unanswered. The instruction was thorough. All materials necessary were provided. We covered everything I needed, and more. And I am left with reference materials to refer to whenever I need to. There is no compromise for safety. I highly recommend the training and trainer. A great value. Thank you

Google… I’ve attended 3 of Geoff’s NRA certification courses at Ted’s Firearms including Range Safety Officer, Basic Pistol, and CCW. Each course has been fantastic, and I have walked away with a greater understanding and respect for the usage and safety of firearms. Geoff’s personality and passion for firearms and safety are what make these courses top notch! Geoff often mixes the NRA approved training curriculum with his own real-world experiences. Geoff’s experiences and anecdotes are delivered with the training material in such a perfect way and give such good visuals that the content presented will remain stuck with you for life! On top of that with each course you will receive excellent training materials which serve as great reference handbooks. And Geoff is great about bringing a large variety of handguns (often unique ones!) with him to class to help demonstrate the concepts. I’ve been so impressed that I plan to take the other advanced pistol training courses he offers. Thanks Again, Geoff!
